Forms Data Loader fills data in Forms by simulating keystrokes as though type by a user. It provides a spreadsheet interface where you can enter the data and keystrokes to send to the forms.
Here are the steps through which you can learn how to use Data Loader for loading data into a Form.
Study the target form and identify the number of fields to fill and the way of navigating between them according to the navigation order. Also find out the important keystrokes used to save the data form
1) Open Forms data loader and click on ‘Create New Load by Recording Macro’ button given on toolbar.

1) Open Forms data loader and click on ‘Create New Load by Recording Macro’ button given on toolbar.
A ’Record Macro’ window opens
2) Open your target application form window and click on ‘start recording’ button in ‘record macro’ window.
3) Select ‘record mouse clicks’ to record mouse clicks along with keystrokes while filling the form.
4) Start filling the form and then save it using the right keystrokes or mouse clicks.
5) Click on ‘Stop recording’ when you are done filling the target application form.
6) Click on ‘create load’ to create a spreadsheet which will include all the data filled in the fields and the keystrokes used. Also mouse clicks if selected to record.
7) Now, Import the data from Excel / CSV or Delimited file by clicking ‘File->Import’ menu or fill the spreadsheet by typing in all the information under each defined column which needs to be filled in target application form.
8) After preparing the full spreadsheet, click on ‘start loading’ button on toolbar. ’Choose Load settings options’ window prompts open.
9) Define the loading options accordingly:
10) After defining the options click ‘start’ button to start loading. Once the loading of target application form starts the loading progress can be seen on the on the top right hand side of your screen.

3) Select ‘record mouse clicks’ to record mouse clicks along with keystrokes while filling the form.
4) Start filling the form and then save it using the right keystrokes or mouse clicks.

- Target window title: Select your target application form window from the drop down list. If not shown in the list, then click on ‘refresh’ button and then select.
- Range: Select the rows, columns and also range of cells you wish to load.
- Opt for ‘step by step loading’ or ‘wait if cursor is hour glass’ to define how you want the form to be loaded.
- Speed: define the loading speed from fast to slow.
10) After defining the options click ‘start’ button to start loading. Once the loading of target application form starts the loading progress can be seen on the on the top right hand side of your screen.
